At first, I thought of just putting in a note here on the blog saying that I will not be available for the next couple of days. Then it strike me that it would not be so nice to just leave people wandering what is going on.

A few days ago, I made a wager with someone. The bet was that I level up from level 1, to level 60, in 10 days. In return, I get a fully upgraded account, and a in game Epic Mount. I will also be getting a free account upgrade, from the Classic edition, to Burning Crusade, and then to Wrath of the Lich King, both expansions for World of Warcraft.

On the 2nd day itself, I met the level cap. I am on a 10 day trial account, actually. It also helps me keep track of my progress, and also posses as an additional challenge. No trading, no chatting. It means that I could not get myself better items, or trade for items, or even receive gold from another character. Plan did not go well when Blizzard actually set a level cap on trial accounts to level 20. I was frustrated, and I entered my CD Key to my account, upgrading it to a full version. I had to wait 4 hours for it to be activated, no thanks to the complicated systems that Blizzard has in place.

4 hours wasted, I could not waste my time. I continued on my journey.

A few days later, the wager was raised. Level 70 in 10 days, including a Flying mount, 3 months of subscription.

How can I resist?

The wager is still on, so guess where am I now ? The the world of Azeroth, of course.

Update:

Dad just called me, asking me why am I still in Canberra. I told dad that I am on wager with a friend, only detail I left out is, it’s World Of Warcraft.
